Caribbean Night in Kona with international Latin singer, songwriter, and producer Mark Gonzalez is Sunday at Mad Marlin in Kailua-Kona.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Gonzalez grew up in Puerto Rico and currently resides in Florida. He comes to the Big Island for the first time with his Latin ballads, bachata, merengue and a few surprises.
Gonzalez takes the stage at Mad Marlin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Also being featured that night are the Big Island’s best Latin DJs Richard Sonero and Jah-Red, and special performances by Stephanie Bolton, Charito Rivera, who is currently Ms. Hawaii United States, and others.
Tickets are $10 in advance by calling 428-3521 or visiting www.markgonzalezinkona.eventbrite.com. Tickets increase to $15 at the door. A $20 VIP ticket includes CD, pupu and special seating. This show is restricted to patrons at least age 21.
Gonzalez will play a second concert on the BIg Island Monday at 6 p.m. at Elks Lodge in Hilo, located at 150 Kinoole St. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
